About the project
Hello, my name is Gwilym Wogan. I’ve been playing music most of my life, and writing it on computers since 1997.
Usually I am a soundtrack composer, but over the past five years or so I’ve developed a fondness for writing silly little songs and recording them in a rushed, spontaneous fashion.
So now I’m going to try and write five of them a week. Which is of course ridiculous, but I think I can pull it off, at least for a while. Maybe I can’t, but I’m looking forward to finding out either way, and if I get some listeners along for the ride too, then awesome.
Since you’re probably wondering: I don’t play any instrument well enough to record these songs live, so every one is going to be produced. To some people, this may harm the spontaneity, but since I’ll only be spending about an hour or two on each track, I personally think their impromptu cred is valid. The plus side is that it means the songs will all sound very different, which should keep things interesting.
